A joint team from Boeing and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday to begin a detailed inspection of the Air India crash site, as part of an ongoing investigation into the tragic incident that occurred on June 12.
The London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a hostel complex shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, resulting in the death of 241 passengers and crew, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
Authorities are now working to determine the technical or operational failures that may have led to one of the deadliest aviation accidents in India’s recent history.
