British Airways to Add Third Daily London-Delhi Flight in 2026

British Airways to Add Third Daily London-Delhi Flight in 2026

British Airways is set to introduce a third daily flight connecting London Heathrow and Delhi in 2026 as part of its plan to enhance air connectivity between India and the UK. This expansion comes amid growing economic activities following the recent Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the two countries in July.

The airline, which has been operating flights to India for over a century, announced the move during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s ‘Britain Means Business’ trade mission to India. The additional flight is subject to regulatory and capacity approvals.

Alongside the new London-Delhi service, British Airways will also bring back its popular First cabin on London-Mumbai flights and roll out its latest business class Club Suite across all five Indian destinations by the end of 2026. Currently, British Airways operates 56 weekly flights between London and five Indian cities, making India its largest market outside the United States.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer highlighted British Airways’ critical role in strengthening trade links and supporting economic growth between the UK and India through the FTA. British Airways Chairman and CEO Sean Doyle remarked that the airline, with deep-rooted ties to India and over 2,500 employees based in the country, is well-positioned to facilitate increased trade and development fueled by the new agreement.
