Tata Technologies to Hire More Local Talent in U.S. Amid Trump’s Immigration Crackdown

Tata Technologies has announced plans to increase the recruitment of local nationals in the United States as part of its strategic response to President Donald Trump’s new immigration policies. The decision comes after the administration introduced a series of measures intensifying scrutiny on foreign work visas.

Under the updated policy, U.S. authorities plan to impose higher fees on H-1B visas—permits commonly used by major tech companies such as Amazon and Meta Platforms—to limit foreign workforce dependence and prioritize American employment.

Tata Technologies CEO stated that expanding local hiring aligns with both the company’s global workforce strategy and the evolving U.S. regulations aimed at safeguarding domestic job opportunities.
