Rockstar Games has officially announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on June 25, 2026, marking a significant milestone ahead of one of the most anticipated video game releases in recent years.
According to the company’s Newswire update, players will be able to pre-purchase the title across supported platforms, with additional details on editions and bonuses expected to accompany the rollout. The announcement comes amid sustained global interest in the next installment of the long-running Grand Theft Auto franchise.
In terms of pricing, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to retail at approximately $70 for the standard edition, which translates to roughly ₹5,800–₹6,000 in India, depending on platform pricing and taxes. Premium or special editions, which may include additional in-game content, are likely to be priced higher.
The upcoming release represents the first mainline entry in the franchise since Grand Theft Auto V, which launched in 2013 and went on to become one of the highest-selling video games of all time. Industry analysts expect GTA VI to set new benchmarks in both pre-order volumes and first-week sales, driven by its expanded open-world design and updated gameplay systems.
While Rockstar Games has not yet disclosed the exact release date in this announcement, the opening of pre-orders signals that the launch window is drawing closer, with further updates anticipated in the coming months.
