Corporates set to adopt at least 100 engineering colleges in Karnataka by next year

As the government works to bring in corporations to improve students’ employment chances, Karnataka Information Technology Minister Priyank Kharge said Thursday that 100 engineering institutions are expected to be “adopted” by an equivalent number of corporates by the next year. He used a large automaker as an example, stating that while it is prepared to offer employment, students remain unemployed due to their lack of training.

Therefore, we recommended that they provide training. We will establish a setting for it. Taking a pragmatic stance, they have requested that we offer a framework. Therefore, at the start of the following academic year, 100 corporates or GCCs (Global Capability Centers) operating in Karnataka will have adopted 100 colleges.
