Air India on Tuesday introduced its Easy Connect service from Amritsar, bringing the Government of India’s hub-and-spoke flight model to Punjab. The move allows travelers to reach 27 international destinations by making a single, hassle-free connection through Delhi.
As part of this initiative, passengers can now complete through check-in for their final overseas destination and finish immigration clearance right at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar, prior to departure. Their luggage is also checked straight through to the end destination, meaning travelers can pass through Delhi without needing to switch terminals or handle their baggage again.
