Bharti Airtel’s enterprise arm, Airtel Business, has announced that it has secured a multi-year contract from the Indian Railway Security Operations Centre (IRSOC) to deliver end-to-end cybersecurity services for the Indian Railways’ digital infrastructure.
With over 13,000 trains running daily, serving more than 20 million passengers and handling millions of online transactions, Indian Railways relies heavily on its digital network. Airtel Business emphasized that protecting this vast flow of critical data—including customer identities, payment information, and core operational databases related to ticketing, freight, signalling, and train tracking—is essential amid the growing threat of cyberattacks.
Through this partnership, Airtel Business aims to strengthen the cybersecurity framework of Indian Railways, ensuring uninterrupted and secure digital operations across its extensive network.
