Apple has introduced a new feature on its online store in India that allows customers to connect with Apple Store specialists via a secure, one-way video call while shopping for products. India is only the second country after the United States to receive this service. Launched following the debut of the Apple Store app in India earlier this year, the “Shop with a Specialist over Video” feature lets users ask questions, compare devices, and get assistance with financing or trade-in options—all from home.
The service is available Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. IST, and works across both iOS and non-iOS devices. During the video call, only the Apple specialist appears on camera, offering guidance tailored to each customer’s needs while the customer remains on audio, making the experience informative rather than a sales pitch. This move is part of Apple’s broader push to deepen its digital retail presence and provide more personal, real-time shopping support to Indian customers.
