Bajaj Auto Ltd has successfully finalized its acquisition of a majority stake in Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM AG, following the final regulatory approval from European authorities for the €800-million deal. The company confirmed the completion in a regulatory filing on Wednesday, marking the conclusion of all formalities related to the transaction.
As part of the acquisition, Bajaj Auto announced the renaming of Pierer Bajaj AG (PBAG) to Bajaj Auto International Holdings AG. Similarly, KTM’s holding company, Pierer Mobility AG (PMAG), which is listed on the Zurich and Vienna stock exchanges, will now be known as Bajaj Mobility AG.
