The first three matches of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, including the high-profile India vs Bangladesh game, garnered a massive 110 million TV viewers across all demographics (MF 2+), according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) data.
Among the core male audience (15+ years) across urban and rural markets, the reach stood at 46 million. The average TV Rating (TVR) was recorded at 1.21 for the general audience (MF 2+) and 1.68 for the Male 15+ ABC category.
The India vs Bangladesh match saw even higher engagement, with a TVR of 2.04 for the MF 2+ audience and 2.8 for the Male 15+ ABC audience.
Navin Khemka, CEO South Asia, EssenceMediacom, noted that while initial viewership has been strong, it is expected to rise as the tournament progresses.
