Kawasaki has significantly reduced the price of its KLX 230 dual-sport motorcycle in India, making it far more accessible to adventure riders. Originally priced at ₹3.30 lakh since its debut, the 2026 model now comes in at just ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) — a massive price cut of up to ₹1.30 lakh.
The drastic price drop is thanks to Kawasaki shifting production of the KLX 230 to India. Previously, the bike was sold here as a CKD (completely knocked down) unit, which inflated its cost.
Known for its lightweight build and impressive off-road capabilities, the KLX 230’s steep initial pricing had kept many enthusiasts away. With the new locally built model, Kawasaki is aiming to attract a much wider audience.
This competitive pricing now puts the KLX 230 within striking distance of its main competitor, the Hero Xpulse 210, which is priced between ₹1.76 lakh and ₹1.86 lakh. Adventure motorcyclists in India now have a much tougher choice to make.
