Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the country’s leading carmaker, announced on Thursday that the upcoming new version of its Brezza SUV has earned a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
The new Brezza is scheduled to launch on July 24, 2026. In its statement, the company confirmed the model achieved 5-star ratings in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) categories under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program.
Highlighting the Brezza’s track record as India’s best-selling compact SUV since 2016, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi noted that the 5-star Bharat NCAP rating strengthens customer trust in the vehicle, adding that the recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to developing safer cars for Indian roads.
