Czech automotive giant Škoda Auto Volkswagen India has signed Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as its first-ever brand ambassador in a one-year endorsement deal. This marks a historic move for Škoda, as it is the first time the company has appointed a celebrity endorser globally, signaling its commitment to strengthening its presence in India—its second-largest market after Europe.
The partnership is a key part of Škoda’s aggressive brand strategy aimed at reshaping its image and expanding its market share from below 1% to 3% as it celebrates 25 years in India. A major highlight of this initiative is the launch of the Kylaq, Škoda’s first competitively priced model in the sub-4-meter segment, designed to attract budget-conscious buyers.
