Tata Motors’ Punch is set to become India’s best-selling car model in 2024, surpassing Maruti Suzuki’s Swift, Hyundai’s Creta, and other popular models, according to Jato Dynamics. The micro SUV is expected to climb six places to claim the top spot, overtaking the 2023 leader, Maruti Suzuki’s Swift, as well as models like Tata’s Nexon and Maruti’s Wagon R, Baleno, and Brezza. With an estimated 200,678 units to be sold this year, the Punch has achieved an impressive compound annual growth rate of 73% from 2021 to 2024. Its diverse powertrain options and premium features have been key to sustaining strong sales momentum.
