India beats China in becoming the country with highest diabetic people in the world

In 2022, India had the biggest number of diabetics worldwide—212 million—followed by China, which had 148 million. According to a recent research in The Lancet, 42 million persons in the US have diabetes in 2022.

According to the report, there are now over 800 million persons worldwide who have either type 1 or type 2 diabetes, which is more than four times the amount in 1990.
