Hebbal, Bengaluru: The Industry Insights successfully hosted the Healthcare Excellence Awards & Conclave 2025 along with the Academic Excellence Awards & Summit 2025, on 10 January 2026 at Hyatt Centric, Hebbal, Bengaluru.

Panel Discussion:
Amidst the awards and networking, guests were engaged with a thought provoking panel discussion titled “Is Social Media Making Us Sicker? The Instagram-Doctor vs. Real Doctor Debate.” The panel consisted of eminent personalities from the healthcare field such as Padma Shri Dr. John Ebnezar is an internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Roopa Sheshadri- Interventional Neuroradiologist, Dr.Ventakata Subramaniam- ophthalmologist, Dr. Anjanappa- surgical Gastroenterologist and Dr. Harish Mallapura Maheshwarappa- intensive care physician. The panel was moderated by Ms.Ananya Rao, Content Writer and Editor at The Industry Insights.
The discussion ranged from understanding how social media reshaping patient behaviour, self-diagnosis, and expectations from doctors, Why do people trust influencers more than qualified doctors and how does this affect treatment decisions, mental health, and public health overall? And the ethical responsibilities health influencers carry. The panellists shared their valuable insights and the panel discussion wrapped up with a new perspective gained from a doctor’s point of view. This was followed by commencement of awards felicitation.
