Kia America is recalling over 80,000 vehicles due to the risk of damage to the floor wiring beneath the front passenger seat, which could interfere with the proper deployment of airbags and seat belts.According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the damaged wiring could also lead to unintended deployment of the side curtain airbags. The recall affects 80,255 Niro EV, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and Hybrid models manufactured between 2023 and 2025.To address the issue, dealers will inspect, replace, and reroute the floor wiring assembly as needed, free of charge
