India’s largest multiplex chain, PVR Inox, has teamed up with Visa to introduce mobile tap-to-pay transactions at their cinemas. This new initiative, which will run for six months, will be available at 160 cinemas across eight major metro cities in India.
The collaboration aims to boost Indian digital economy by promoting cashless payments, transforming the way moviegoers pay for their tickets and concessions. Movie patrons can now make seamless payments using their Android, NFC-enabled smartphones with Visa cards at PVR Inox locations.
