Railways Operates 360 Special Trains for Devotees on ‘Mauni Amavasya’

The Railways is operating 360 trains, including 190 special trains, to accommodate the millions of devotees expected to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela on ‘Mauni Amavasya’, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, Satish Kumar, announced on Tuesday.

The ‘Amrit Snan’ on ‘Mauni Amavasya’ this Wednesday is anticipated to draw approximately 10 crore pilgrims to the Maha Kumbh. Speaking to reporters, Kumar emphasized that the Railways has implemented extensive measures to manage the unprecedented influx of pilgrims and has significantly increased train services for this most auspicious day of the Maha Kumbh.
